Living La Dolce Vita for a spectacular Elopement Wedding on the Amalfi Coast
Fashion, Dolce Vita, vintage Italian movies, and this sense of peace and unaltered beauty that the South of Italy can sometimes offer (especially when choosing a non-super touristic time of the year, like mid-April) – this is what Mike and Jordan wanted for their Italian elopement, and they sure got what they were looking for!
When we started discussing elopement ideas with these two, we knew we were working with a power couple who had a very precise vision in mind. Since they wanted a self-proclaimed ceremony, they chose our “La Luna” Collection so we helped them design their elopement, schedule their day and find the best vendors around, but they still had a foot down on the definition of the day.
We split the day into two halves, the first three hours in the morning – getting ready, ceremony, and early morning couple shoot in the fantastic gardens of Villa Cimbrone and the Terrazza dell’Infinito, and the last three in the afternoon/evening with a vintage car ride on the streets of Amalfi, a fantastic boat tour, and the most incredible sunset back on the Terrazza. We are sure you are going to enjoy this as much as we did!
Our job has blessed us with the incredible opportunity to explore our country and immerse ourselves in unique experiences that would otherwise be hardly accessible. One of these experiences was this entire elopement on the Amalfi Coast.
After a 4.30 wake up – not our favorite moment of the day – we walked the empty and serene streets of Ravello up to Villa Cimbrone, where we got to see the sun starting to rise and color the sky pink on the iconic Terrazza dell’Infinito. The only sound we could hear was the chipping birds and the distant sound of the sea – that was nothing short of an unforgettable moment and the perfect start to the day.
Immediately after, we moved to Mike and Jordan’s suite – the gorgeous Beckett Suite of Villa Cimbrone – for the couple’s preparations. The early sunlight was peeking through the windows overlooking the sea – it was such a beautiful and peaceful moment.
Once he was ready, Mike walked up to the Terrace waiting for Jordan where a carpet of rose petals was creating the perfect setup for the ceremony.
Jordan looked incredible in her Pronovias dress: a perfect complement to her Mediterranean beauty blending flawlessly with the allure of the Amalfi Coast. Against the backdrop of the azure sea and sky, Jordan and Mike exchanged their heartfelt vows on the Terrazza dell’Infinito.
After the ceremony – which took place at around 7.3o in the morning – we got to have a beautiful couple shoot in the gardens of the Villa. The absence of other guests allowed us to explore and capture the Villa’s most picturesque corners, making the experience even more magical.
We took a few hours off and met them again in the mid-afternoon: we had a walk through Ravello and followed Jordan and Mike on the vintage Alfa Romeo they had rented to explore the coast, Italian style. We got down to Amalfi where we set sail on a boat: the warm light of the late afternoon – around 25 C – 77 F of temperature – signing and dancing to vintage Italian songs, sipping the iconic Amalfi Coast Malphy Gin Lemon… It was simply perfect.
As the day drew to a close, we returned to Villa Cimbrone, where it all began, to capture the final moments against the backdrop of a stunning sunset.
This elopement on the Amalfi Coast was so mesmerizing that it felt like a scene straight out of a movie. Every instant of the day was filled with love and beauty, and we cherished every magical moment shared with Jordan and Mike!
